"EQUINE KINSHIP EXPERIENCE"
Equine Kinship Experience (EKE) makes use of horses to help promote emotional growth. Horses are the most popular used animal to help heal although elephants, dolphins, cats and dogs may also be used. This is because, horses have the ability to respond immediately and give feedback to the rider?s action or behavior. Horses are also able to mirror the rider?s emotion. The basis of EKE is that because horses behave similarly like human beings do in their social and responsive behaviour; it is always easy for participants to establish connection with the horse.
Participants engage in hands on learning that utilises the horse as a partner in exploring positive development of communication, self respect, confidence, trust, accountability, and conflict resolution. Sessions incorporate a variety of ground work and general horsemanship activities such as grooming, leading, and herd observation.
Our Equine Kinship Learning programs can be tailored to specific individuals, groups/organisations. Please note that our "kick start" program is strictly a ground work (no riding) program.
